Organise an event during the Sustainability Week 2025 - Students
The Sustainability Week programme consists of events organised by staff and students at Lund University and Lund Municipality.
If you, as a student, are interested in organising an event, you can apply via our call for interest that you can find on this page. On this page you can also find information about who can apply, what the planning group can do to support and many tips on how to create a successful and sustainable event.

Who can apply?
Those eligible to apply to organise events during the Sustainability Week 2025 are:
- Student Unions and associated guilds
- Nations
- The Academic Society (AF) committees or associations
- Organisations within Lund University and Lund Municipality
Individual students can contact their student union, nation, AF committee and affiliated organisation or institution they belong to for cooperation, or apply to participate in the Sustainability Forum Student Series.
Sustainability Forum Student Series
Contribute to the content of the Sustainability Forum Student Series during Sustainability Week!
Monday-Friday during Sustainability Week 2025, the Sustainability Forum will offer an opportunity for students to organise events in collaboration with the Sustainability Forum during specific times in the programme. This includes a venue, as well as support in planning and assistance during the event itself, if needed.
Individual students and organisations not affiliated with AF can apply for this via the call for interest form. There will be a limited number of slots during the week and an expression of interest is therefore not a guarantee of participation.
More information will come!
Tips and support
Here, we have gathered tips for organisers and outlined what we at the Sustainability Forum can assist with.
Event structure and content
As organizers, you are primarily responsible for the content and structure of your event. However, our planning team is happy to act as a sounding board for developing ideas and event formats.
If you need help finding participants for a panel, a moderator, or are interested in collaborations beyond your own networks, we can assist with contacts.
When inviting external guests, we encourage you to choose individuals who can travel to Lund using a sustainable mode of transportation.
Promote your event
Each organizer is responsible for reaching their desired target audience and promoting their own event.
Suggestions for promoting your event:
- Posters in Lund University’s facilities where your intended target audience will be (remember to use the Sustainability Week logo)
- Social media
- Targeted email invitations within your own networks
In all promotion of your event, please state that the event is part of Sustainability Week and refer to the overall program.
Social Media
Use the hashtag #hållbaralund in your social media posts.
Feel free to create a Facebook event for your arrangement. Add Lund University Sustainability Forum (Lunds universitet) as a co-host to make it visible in our event list. Contact us if you need assistance with this.

Overall Marketing of the Program
The Sustainability Forum at Lund University and the department Hållbar tillväxt at Lund Municipality are jointly responsible for the overall marketing of the week. It will be visible on buses, trains, billboards in Lund, and on social media.

Checklist for organising an event
A few things to consider when you start planning your event:
- Topic: Which sustainability issue do you want to highlight and present during your event?
- Target audience: Who do you want to reach? Lund residents, other students, professionals, adults, children, etc. All events in the program are open to the public, but it’s good to have a target audience in mind during planning and promotion of the event.
- Format: What type of event works best for your topic and audience? Workshop, panel discussion, exhibition, quiz, film screening, etc.
- Venue: Where do you plan to hold the event? Please indicate in the call for interest form if you need help with this.
Promote your event: The Sustainability Week is promoted as an overall event by us, but think about how you can reach your specific target audience and how you can promote the event for maximum exposure.
